Katy Bruce is an business consultant in the emerging Cannabis industry. She moved to Las Vegas From Seattle In July of 2015. Katy Bruce has been working in the marijuana industry for over 20 years. Growing up in both Washington and central California made it easy for Katy to find supplementary work in the booming black market cannabis industry.
Katy took her first step into the medical side of the industry and began working with medical cultivators in Washington in 2005 when she moved back to Seattle to be closer to her family. When she moved back to Washington her eagerness to learn to cultivate occupied her extracurricular time, she studied with over a 100 growers and soaked up as much knowledge and information she could. She also accepted a position at Schakra, a start-up software company that created CFS also known as cloud software or Azure for Microsoft. As head of administration she helped develop their operating systems, HR department, set up all OSHA standards and guidelines, 401K programs, helped develop all employment and non-compete contracts, was in charge of all vendor relationships, AP, AR, coordinator of all company events and travel, as well as, served as executive assistant the the president of the company.
Finally with experience in executive management she collaborated with her partners and together and they opened Sasquatch deliveries in Seattle in 2011, a mobile delivery dispensary. Being involved with patients changed her entire prospective on cannabis and she was ready to take on medical marijuana full time. Shortly after opening Sasquatch Deliveries Katy left and began her first independent business by starting a trimming company Trimmin’ Buds. She worked with several well know medical cultivators in Washington state. Finally in 2013 she opened her first of two small boutique Medical grows. During this time she began her personal outreach through her vast knowledge and experience with the medicinal herb of cannabis.
Since then she has facilitated; medicine, classes and products to a vast array of patients and clients from; Washington, California, Nevada, Oregon, Montana, and Florida. She currently is working on a global crypto currency that supports the cannabis industry, as well as, assisting in the development of several cultivation facilities around the country and internationally. When she is not busy working or volunteering you can find her in her organic garden or painting in her art studio. She is also an avid hiker and loves to travel.
